Project: The barometer is an annual, large‑scale, metropolitan‑level survey measuring individual threat perception, risk awareness, and household preparedness across major cities in the Baltic Sea region. Each yearly wave includes 1,000 respondents per city. The 2025 data covers Helsinki, Tallinn, Riga, Vilnius, and major German cities, creating a robust comparative dataset of several thousand respondents. The dataset provides detailed information on perceived security levels, threat awareness, household resources (water, food, first aid, cash), emergency communication channels, siren/shelter awareness, and preparedness behaviors. It also contains extensive socio‑demographic variables, allowing deep‑dive analysis on topics such as gender gaps, youth preparedness, pensioner vulnerability, minority group differences, and trust in media. The dataset is cleaned, anonymized, and delivered in SPSS (.sav) and Excel (.xlsx) formats, accompanied by methodological documentation. The next updated dataset will be available in summer 2026.
